What is a relationship? This word that tends to confuse a lot of people all over the world. Some may define it as just a lover type relationship, but, In reality, it's not.

There are various types of relationships such as family relationshipsfriendship relationshipslove relationships and many more.  In colleges or universities, the main sort of relationships viewed is lover type relationships and friendship relationships.

These sorts of relationships can be avoided or controlled if one has that courage or determination to stay in such unhealthy situations.  In campus, dating paranoid, jealous and insecure people tend to befall many of us and it's no secret nor a joke because such relationships always end up very badly. Involving oneself in unhealthy friendships can also be toxic and one should not force him or herself to stay if not treated fairly. In friendships, no one has the right to make you feel inferior without your permission. The same applies to all sorts of relationships.

There have been various incidents occurring or have occurred already concerning how dire some relationships in the campus have gotten. For instance, stories of university girls being raped, chopped off and left to die by their boyfriends, have been a trend all over and legal action should be taken against them.

There have also been incidents whereby friends harm each other over trivial things. relationships between two friends should not be like that. They should be treating each other as siblings more than rivals or like cats who are always ready to scratch each other whenever they have an argument or some sort of misunderstanding.

peer pressure is also a major contribution to such toxic relationships where some people tend to follow whatever they are being told or see from others and also end up changing and behaving differently than usual.

Toxic relationships will always be there and it would take a lot of courage for one to overcome them if he or she is already involved in one. So, let's fight this and support each other against relationships that may lead to both physical and mental abuse to us. Don't force yourself to be happy if you're not.
