THE ELECTRICAL CHINESE MILLIPEDE

HELLO SWEET PEOPLE!!!
Welcome to my blog💞💞
please don't forget to like, follow, share and comment after reading and I hope you enjoy my new article... thank you!!❤💃💃

Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), formally known as the first electric train to operate in Kenya, is a Chinese machinery which was introduced into the country for the sake of fast transportation of both goods and people. At first, it started very well since the transportation prices were so cheap until one day they suddenly rose and not everyone could afford their services.

Samples of previous articles concerning the SGR.
Cases started arising due to some complaints from the Kenyan workers on how they were being mistreated by their Chinese coworkers. Their operating machines were all written in Chinese and Kenyan drivers could not read whatever was being displayed. The Kenyan workers were not allowed to eat in the same area or place with the Chinese workers and their salaries were quite lower compared to the Chinese who worked there.

Many lost their jobs due to the introduction of the SGR for instance, the road truckers, the ones dealing in the clearing and forwarding works. I know it made work easier, but also made life harder for some. Knowing how hard it is to get a job nowadays.

Its introduction contributed to tourism in the country as well, for instance, when people are on board, they could always get the chance to see what's outside and appreciate their views as they travelled. Appreciating wildlife both as a local or non-local tourist is one of the most treasured moments ever but, cases about animals being killed by the SGR train and some of their bodies found on the rail tracks is something very worrying up to now.

The project did help the economy of Kenya in so many ways but we cannot turn a blind eye to the negative side of it. People need jobs to survive. Wildlife should be protected. People should be treated fairly with respect and no sort of discriminations.
